As a child growing up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, I found myself thrust into the world of modeling. At a young age, my parents enrolled me in a modeling school associated with a local agency known for its unconventional charm – a place that was to become both a stepping stone and a source of memorable experiences.

My earliest memories of modeling involve my mother driving me to the agency, where I eagerly soaked in the knowledge of the runway. Learning the art of strutting confidently under the bright lights became a routine part of my childhood.

Soon, my photos began gracing the pages of department store magazines, marking the beginning of my professional modeling career. The thrill of being part of fashion shows, showcasing the latest trends, was a dream come true for a 10-year-old. Little did I know that my first show would be etched in my memory for reasons beyond the glamorous world of modeling.

The runway lights, blindingly bright, created a surreal atmosphere. Nervously navigating the stage during my debut show, I found myself momentarily disoriented, unable to locate the stairs. In a moment of spontaneous decision, I opted to jump, unintentionally providing the audience with a moment of unexpected amusement. The laughter of the crowd echoed in my ears, and although embarrassing, this incident became a defining memory of my early modeling career.

Amidst the humorous missteps, there were triumphs too. Winning the award for best photos was a moment of validation, a testament to the hard work and dedication I poured into my modeling endeavors. Securing the title of first runner-up was an achievement that came with a tangible reminder – a trophy that I proudly display to this day, a symbol of my success in the world of child modeling.

Reflecting on my journey, those early experiences molded me in ways beyond the glitz and glamour. The runway taught me confidence, the spotlight taught me resilience, and the laughter taught me to embrace the unexpected. Today, as I gaze upon that trophy from my childhood days, I'm reminded that every misstep and triumph played a role in shaping the person I am today – a testament to the unique journey of being a model in the charming city of Calgary.
